Weekly Update 4/6/14

The week seemed to go really fast. We had a good meeting with President K. I think it will be the last meeting unless he does one last round of interviews before he goes home.

I was just kind of rushed trying to do my emails last week, probably the same as this week. Today we got the transfer list, and Elder Sio is leaving surprisingly. So we have a ton of stuff that we have to do before he leaves, like deep cleaning the flat and giving him time to pack.

Yes, we will be able to watch all of General Conference. That is basically all we’ll do next weekend.

This week we have just been trying to contact all of our referrals. We have had a ton lately, but we haven't been able to contact a lot of them, because they aren't home or the directions we were given were vague or whatever the reason. We are also trying to find new investigators because we still basically have none. We are going to be working more with little F though. We were told that he couldn't be baptized, but the B’s went and talked to his parents, and that isn't the case. They are fine with him being baptized, but they want to know that he understands what he is getting himself into, and not just being baptized because his friends are at church and he likes the missionaries.

The Branch President brings us over food sometimes on Friday nights, normally canned spaghetti and frozen pizzas, but sometimes he brings microwave pasta in foil bags or something. We ate with the Tongan families a few weeks ago because there was a wedding and the Branch Conference, and one of the sisters brought over a meal last week, but other than that, we are still just on our own for meals.

The weather is starting to get a bit colder, especially in the mornings, but it hasn't changed too much here yet. The west coast is just wet all year round I think. The days are getting shorter, especially with Daylight savings yesterday.
