Here is Elder Paulson’s update after being in his new area for a full week-
I'm doing good. I think this will be a pretty good area.
This week was basically the same as all of them. We do a lot of finding. We are also trying to make a push with our less actives because there are a lot of them here. It is kind of hard though because a lot of people don't have cars, we can't drive others, and there is only one member that can take people, if she even goes. We just have to keep going I guess.
It is hard sometimes trying to change individuals from just being friends to investigators. We don't want to ruin the relationships of trust and friendship we have built, so we have to just make them comfortable with us and drop principles here and there.
Going to the temple is a big deal to the people here. They have a temple in country, but it is expensive to go, so they have to plan for ages to make it happen.
We also went to a school play on Halloween. It was about the history of Waimate. School plays are one of my favorite ways to listen to copyrighted music. It was pretty funny. The school system is set up a lot different here.
